You upload one clear image of a dress. Fio reads the garment from it — the silhouette, how the fabric appears to behave, the construction, and the things a photograph genuinely cannot settle. What you get back is a written read: what drives the cost of a dress like that, and the questions worth asking an atelier before anyone quotes you a price.

Because nothing in a photograph supports a number. A real quote prices a complete specification against one atelier's own fabrics and hours. A figure produced from an image would be invented, and you would be making a serious decision on it. Fio tells you what drives the cost and leaves the number to an atelier that will stand behind it.

You ask, by email. Fio replies personally — usually within two business days — with up to three Lisbon ateliers and why each might suit you, or that none of them does. Nothing about you reaches any atelier until you say which one you would like to meet. Then one introduction is made, to that one atelier, and you deal with them directly from there.

A small number of Lisbon ateliers Fio works with directly. That is not all of Lisbon and it is not a ranking of the city — there are excellent dressmakers Fio has no relationship with. Fio would rather say that none of its partners fits what you are after than make an introduction that wastes your time.

Nothing. The reading is free, the introduction is free, and Fio will never ask you for payment or take a share of what you pay your atelier. An atelier may pay Fio for an introduction it accepts. That fee is the same for every partner, so it cannot make one of them more attractive to Fio than another, and it is never added to your dress.

Your browser re-encodes the image before it leaves your device, which strips the embedded metadata — location, capture time, camera and device. The re-encoded image goes to the AI provider that reads it and is used for nothing else. It is not stored, and it is never sent to an atelier, not even after you ask for an introduction. Your written read can travel with an introduction, but only if you ask for that.

No. There is no account, no password and no mailing list. The reader never asks for your name or your email — it only needs the image. If you ask for an introduction that is simply an email, and Fio keeps the thread while it is helping you, then deletes it 90 days after you were last in contact about it.
